Ro-Ro Ferry Returns on Diwali 500 passengers in a trip from Hazira to Ghogha in just 4 hours, 12 hours by road; 30 trucks, 100 car carrying capacity

The announcement was made by Union Minister of State for Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya in Ahmedabad on Sunday at the conference.
He said that the Ro-Ro ferry service running between Ghogha-Dahej (small ferry) will not stop, that too will remain. Meanwhile, the Ghogha-Hazira Ro-Pex ferry service is also being commissioned.
He said that on November 8, PM Narendra Modi will launch the service in a fully-connected manner. Besides, the newly constructed ro-ro terminal port will also be released.

Ro-Ro Ferry will make three trips a day. Through which 5 crore passengers, 80 thousand passenger vehicles in a year,
50,000 two-wheelers and 30,000 trucks will be possible. There is a distance of 370 kilometers between Ghogha-Hazira, which is just 90 kilometers from the sea route.
In a manner, About 90 thousand liters of fuel would also be saved per day. 24 metric tons (MT) carbon emissions per day will be less.
Pipavav-Surat and Mumbai also planned to be connected
Union Minister of State, Mansukh Mandaviya said that pipavav-Surat will now be connected via sea. Besides, Surat-Diu is also planned to be added. To build a jetty at Mumbai JNPT port the work is going on Mumbai-Pipavav will be added as soon as it is completed.
This makes the cargo of South India can be transported directly from Gujarat. The facility of carrying 100 trucks simultaneously will be ensured.
Dredging work is going on in Diu. The jetty remains. Dredging work to make a big well is going on in Diu. Then between Surat and Diu Sea travel will be possible.

600 Rs. per passenger in Ro-Ro ferry, Rs 800 in executive class, one car – Rs 1200, Bike Rs 350, Truck (more than 36 metric tonnes – 85500) Bus – 5000, Tempo – Rs 4000 Rental Rate ensured.
The booking will be started on the website on behalf of the company from November 2.

CNG:
The car will cost Rs 1740 per km on the trip.
Petrol:
An average of 15 KM per liter will cost Rs 2035.
Diesel:
An average of 15 kmper litre will cost Rs 1670. It is only fuel cost. It does not include toll tax expenses. On this route, there are 4 Tolnaka including Bharuch, Karjan. On which a toll tax of about Rs. 300 to 350 is to be paid. While the two wheeler is on the Ghogha, petrol will cost Rs 600. (All expenses are of single trip)
